MEDTEC China 2015 Attendance Reaches 11,600

The 11th MEDTEC China (Medical Device Design & Manufacturing Exhibition), an annual industrial event focusing on medical-grade raw materials, parts and processing technology, successfully was held in Shanghai recently.

MEDTEC China 2015’s attendance has reached 11,610. More than 70 medical device manufacturers organized delegations to visit the exhibition, including TUOREN Group, Covidien, Stryker, Shangdong Weihaiweixin, Shanghai Endo View, Hangzhou BrosMed, Shanghai Kangge, MicroPort, Suzhou andtosi, and Shenzhen salubris, etc., which showed the professional visitor's attention and enthusiasm for MEDTEC China.

The exhibition also had exceptionally high satisfaction ratings from the visitors, according to show organizers. This year's many concurrent lectures and trainings also won appreciation and recognition from the loyal visitors of MEDTEC.

MEDTEC China continued to establish an industrial cooperation and innovation platform, as well as cooperated with China's major universities and research institutes to show their latest technology and product research and form a good mechanism for scientific and technological achievement transformation.

This year, nine universities and companies, including Rapid Manufacturing Center ofShanghai University, Jilin Wohong Medical Technology, and Shangdong Zhengjihongjing Medical Devices brought their latest research results for showcase.

China Quality Club, Instron, Osmunda, Wintop, TA Instruments, Techmax and other medical device companies specializing in the field of quality control gathered in the Quality Focus area and shared their technologies and special trainings for practitioners of medical device industry.

The book launch of China's first book of medical device product categories – Guidelines for the Category and Classification of Medical Devices was also held in this area.

Four thematic meetings, experts at home and abroad brought the most cutting-edge theories and cases. Four major meetings on the subjects of Regulation, Technology, Quality, and Investment were a highlight of the exhibition.

More than 50 industry insiders including CFDA officer Wang Baoting and Mr. Park from Korea Medical Device Cooperative Association gave speeches on site, and 50 percent speakers came from overseas.

In 2016, nearly 350 medical device manufacturers and solution providers from 23 countries and regions worldwide will be exhibitors of MEDTEC China, setting a new exhibitor record. MEDTEC China 2016 will be over 60 exhibitors' debut exhibition including Starrett Tools (Suzhou) Co., Sensofar, TP Concept Sdn Bhd, Kunshan Fenghesheng Precision Machinery Co., Ltd., and Dongguan Yaoan.

During the opening of MEDTEC China 2015, the organizers officially announced that the time and location of MEDTEC China 2016 would be Oct. 26-28 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition.

Also, in response to the industry feedback, another medical device exhibition and east China's largest professional dental exhibition - Dentech China will be also held in conjunction with the MEDTEC China 2016 to bring more cooperation and innovation opportunities for medical device design and manufacturing market.
