IAAPA's Asian Attractions Expo Sells Out Showfloor in Beijing

The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions has sold out the Asian Attractions Expo 2014 that spans more than 91,439 net square feet (8,500 net square meters), setting a new record for exhibit space at the event.

More than 5,000 attendees are expected to participate, which will take place June 17-20 at the China National Convention Center in Beijing.

The record-breaking trade show will feature  new products and services for the amusement parks and attractions industry offered by more than 290 companies who are looking to connect with an estimated 3,500 buyers from 60 countries.

“This year’s Asian Attractions Expo trade show floor will be among the most lively ever seen in the Asia-Pacific region,” said IAAPA President and CEO Paul Noland.

He added, “The wide array of international industry manufacturers and suppliers make Asian Attractions Expo an excellent opportunity for attendees to find the next great product or service that can give their attraction a competitive edge.”

Events at this year’s show include tours of the Forbidden City, Happy Valley and the Great Wall.

What’s New in Asia
A panel of leading industry leaders including Tom Mehrmann, chief executive of Ocean Park Hong Kong, Andrew Kam, managing director of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort  and Hu Zhanghong, senior vice president, Wanda Group, moderated by Charles Read, managing director of industry website, Blooloop, will discuss new parks and attractions, innovative rides, and unique exhibits opening in the Asia-Pacific region.

Waterpark Trends and Innovation
Franceen Gonzales, vice president of waterpark business development of industry supplier WhiteWater West and Wuthichai Luangamornlert, managing director of Siam Park City in Bangkok will provide insights into new trends and innovations in water parks.

Maximizing Your Retail and F&B Revenues
Industry experts from Hong Kong Disneyland and Ngong Ping 360 in Hong Kong share their experiences on how displays, menu selection, marketing, and more increase revenue from retail, food, and beverage operations.

There also will be the Institute for Attractions Managers, IAAPA Safety Institute and the Young Professional Forum.
