Glamping Shows Americas Joins Emerald’s Expanding Sports and Outdoor Portfolio

Public company Emerald has expanded its Sports and Outdoor portfolio with the addition of Glamping Show Americas (GSA), a media business that includes conferences, content and commerce for the luxury camping sector that is expected to increase at a compounded annual growth rate of 15.14% from 2023 to 2029, according to Arizton data.  

Co-founded by trade show industry veteran David Korse, the six-year-old Glamping Show Americas touts itself as the “only trade show in the Americas dedicated to glamping industry,” which generated $561.42 million in revenues in last year in the U.S. In 2023, Glamping Show Americas attracted 1,600 verified trade show visitors, according to the show prospectus.

In the sports and outdoor sector, Emerald produces business-to-business and business-to-consumer events and content brands, including Outdoor Retailer, Surf Expo, Shop Eat Surf and Overland Expo.

Backstory: Glamping Show Americas attracts luxury camping owners and operators. The conference offers attendees the opportunity to explore glamping business basics, how to secure funding, sourcing structures and amenities, market trends, and more. The show floor features exhibitors who offer products and services for the glamping business, including furniture, insurance, Wi-Fi, reservation booking systems, consulting services, accessories, solar power and more.

What’s next: In 2024, Glamping Show Americas will take place Oct. 1-2 at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds in Aurora, Colo. The event will feature pre-show workshops, a two-day conference, an indoor/outdoor expo hall and the luxury camping industry’s most innovative products—from glamping tents and wagons to sustainable products servicing the outdoor hospitality sector.

Big picture: The 2024 Glamping Show Americas will maintain the look and feel attendees have come to expect and the familiar faces of the team will be seen throughout the show — including Korse, who will also continue to be involved in the event.
