Clarion Events North America Awarded Sea-Air-Space Exposition Management Contract
U.K.-based Clarion Events’ recently opened U.S. division already is making its mark, with The Navy League of the United States awarding a management contract for its annual “Sea-Air-Space” Exposition to Clarion Events North America.
The Navy League selected Clarion from several other companies after a six-month selection process.
“Navy League made this important decision based on how we can best support our mission to advocate for the Sea Services,” said Dale Lumme, national executive director of the Navy League of the United States.
He added, “Everyone involved in producing the Sea-Air-Space Exposition to date has made an important impact, we’re taking this world-class maritime event to the next level and intend for Clarion to help us grow it into the recognized International Sea Services event.”
Kevin Traver, senior director for Corporate Affairs for the Navy League of the United States, said, “We selected Clarion Events to manage this key event because of its worldwide experience in the defense industry, and event planning and execution. They have a proven track record of success in strategic positioning and growth for dynamic organizations.”
Clarion Events recently launched a U.S. edition of its Counter Terror Expo and holds 200 events worldwide.
“The Navy League’s Sea-Air-Space Exposition is a market-leading event serving an enormously valuable role in the U.S. military community,” said Wayne Crawford, vice-president of Clarion Events North America.
He added, “We are proud to have been selected to manage this event and to help build that value for all constituents within this community.”
Clarion Events North America will take responsibility for the management of the 2013 and future editions of the Sea-Air-Space Exposition, working closely with the staff and volunteer leadership of the Navy League.
Based in Washington, D.C., the Sea-Air-Space Exposition began in 1965 as a way of bringing U.S. defense industry, private sector and key military decision makers together for an annual symposium to discuss innovation, professional education and development centered on maritime issues.
