Clarion Events Expands Energy Portfolio with Acquisition of Infocast and Its 18 Events
Clarion Events, a privately owned event and exhibition organizer based in London, UK, announced the acquisition of Infocast, organizer of 18 renewable energy events such as Clean Energy Investment Summit, Transmission & Interconnection Summit and NY Energy Summit—to name a few. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
This strategic addition bolsters Clarion’s portfolio in the global energy sector, which includes trade shows like DISTRIBUTECH International and their regional development-focused events, GridTech Connect, POWERGEN International, Enlit Europe, Enlit Asia, and the African Energy Forum.
Based on 2023 revenues, Clarion was ranked as the third largest independent global exhibition organizer, according to a recently released report from Stax.

Deeper dive: Infocast is known for its Confex (conference exchange) model plus its five flagship events that have continued growth of audience and sponsorship, according to Clarion. These flagship events include: Solar + Wind, Projects & Money, ERCOT Market Summit, and Southeast Renewables.

Leadership in Action: Clarion Events North America Chief Commercial Officer Desiree Hanson will lead integration efforts to enhance Clarion’s impact across the energy ecosystem. Backed by PE firm The Blackstone Group, Clarion Events North America, which is the U.S. division of Clarion Events, has offices in Shelton, CT; Tulsa, OK; and Rochelle Park, NJ.
