Clarion Events Buys Border Security Expo, US/Canada Border Conference from Eagle Eye Expositions
Adding to its defense and security events portfolio, U.K.-based Clarion Events bought two more, Border Security Expo and the US/Canada Border Conference, from Eagle Eye Expositions, effective immediately. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“Border Security Expo and the US/Canada Border Conference are a perfect ‘hand in glove’ fit for the Clarion portfolio,” said Lee Arevian, managing director of Clarion US.
Arevian added, “We already know so many of the exhibitors and the communities they serve from this show and from other events. We’re excited to help them align with all the opportunities in this market.”
Border Security Expo is the only major conference and expo fully addressing border security and is attended by federal and state governments and law enforcement operatives.
Taking advantage of the confluence of federal and state events over the past year on the southwest border, including the newly formed Joint Task Force West, Border Security Expo 2016 will take place in San Antonio, Texas (April 13th -14th, at the Henry Gonzalez Convention Center).
The US/Canada Border Conference builds on the joint US/Canada declaration – Beyond the Border: A Shared Vision for Perimeter Security and Economic Competitiveness.
The event takes place Oct. 27-28 at the Cobo Center in Detroit.
John Moriarty, event director for both events, also will join Clarion.
“The involvement of Clarion is great news for our customers and attendees,” Moriarty said.
He added, “The resources that Clarion brings and the depth of their relationships and knowledge of the industry will truly help these events get to the next level.”
The new events join other Clarion defense and security ones, such as SEA-AIR-SPACE, Counter Terror Expo and DSEI.
