AWE Launches 2018 Nominations for Hall of Fame Recognition Program

March 27, 2018

The Association for Women in Events (AWE), a not-for-profit organization supporting gender equality and diversity in the event industry, has launched 2018 nominations for its Hall of Fame Recognition Program, hosted by the AWE Awards Committee.

“Being inducted into the Hall of Fame is a lifetime honor,” said Marie-Claire Andrews, AWE board member and chair of the AWE Awards Committee. “It doesn’t begin and end with a simple recognition, rather our winners will be part of our community and celebrated long-term!”

This is the program’s second year. See 2017 inductees here.

The program partners with the likes of IMEX. IMEX America has agreed to sponsor each winner with US flights and accommodation for IMEX America 2018.

The AWE Hall of Fame recognizes the advancement of women in events by honoring women and men with a categorical award.

Categories for nominations are: Disruptor, Coach, Woman of Influence, Emerging Leader and Organizational Leadership.

Nominations are open now through April 30, 2018.

To nominate a deserving individual (self-nominations are also accepted), a simple online form will be completed, which can be found on the AWE website. Members and non-members, women and men in the events, hospitality and tourism industry are eligible.

The judging panel will select finalists for a secondary interview.

The winners will be announced in July of 2018.

Winners of each respective category will receive the following: ● Lifetime membership of AWE ● Special profile on AWE website ● Panelists and presenters at industry events and AWE events ● Interviews, articles, blog posts and more ● Contributions to library of tools ● Judges for awards ● Advisors for programs ● A certificate and email plate ● Exclusive case study input ● IMEX America to sponsor each winner with US flights & accommodation for IMEX America 2018
