Automechanika Shanghai 2012 Set to Break Records

Not only will Automechanika Shanghai break records for the size of its showfloor when it opens Dec. 11-14 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in China, but show organizers also said they expect a record number of exhibitors and attendees.

Automechanika Shanghai , organized byMesse Frankfurt (Shanghai) and the China National Automotive Industry International Corporation, is an exhibition for automotive parts, accessories, equipment and services industry.

“Many local and international brands launch new products at Automechanika Shanghai to enhance their importance in the industry,” said Jason Cao, General Manager for Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai).

He added, “This year, the show welcomes many new leading industry companies, while many existing brands are expanding their booths. In addition, our exhibitors are very enthusiastic about participating in the fringe programmes as product display events, press conferences, product demonstrations and workshops have become another important platform for promotion.” 

For easy sourcing, Automechanika Shanghai is divided into three sectors, Parts & Components, Repair & Maintenance and Accessories & Tuning.

According to show organizers, the exhibition attracts quality buyers and professional visitors from the entire automobile industry chain, including design centers, car manufacturers, auto parts suppliers, distribution channels, 4S shops car maintenance services providers and car care service centers.

This year’s show will break records with more than 180,000 square meters of exhibition space, an increase of 13 percent, compared with last year’s show. 

In addition, 3,900 exhibitors are expected from 37 countries and regions, including 13 overseas pavilions.

This growth is mainly due to a significant increase in overseas exhibitors as well as the expanded halls for Repair & Maintenance and Accessories & Tuning.

As a result, the show is expecting a record number of exhibitors and more than 70,000 buyers and professional visitors.
