IMTS Show Will Host First-ever Job Center

July 17, 2012

AMT – The Association for Manufacturing Technology’s IMTS – International Manufacturing Technology Show is just around the corner, and the organization announced it has teamed with Trillium CNC/CNC Jobs for its first-ever IMTS 2012 Job Center.

The show, held Sept. 10-15 at Chicago’s McCormick Place, will have the job center in the West Building, where it will provide a forum for the IMTS community to learn more about and make connections to careers in manufacturing.

Companies will have access to top level talent for manufacturing positions, and job seekers will find countless resources as they search for their next career opportunity.

“With our country suffering an unprecedented shortage of skilled manufacturing workers – one that is expected to rise from 600,000 unfilled jobs to a predicted three million by the end of the decade - we are thrilled to offer both employers and job seekers an opportunity to find each other,” said Peter Eelman, IMTS vice president  of Exhibitions and Communications.

Using the IMTS Job Center, high performance manufacturing professionals will have the ability to search available jobs, post resumes and be interviewed by recruiters in private interview rooms.

In addition, job seekers can meet with professionals who will be available to share resume writing tips, interviewing advice and career guidance, including the advice and tools needed to help job seekers negotiate a competitive wage and benefit package and land the job against other skilled candidates.

Employers can speak with industry experts on the best ways to attract and screen the strongest candidates for technical manufacturing positions. Advice will be provided ranging from recruitment, advertising, and screening to employee recognition.

“We bring over 28 years of experience in technical recruitment and staffing expertise to what we view as North America’s most important manufacturing event,” said Bob Lawson, director of Trillium CNC / CNC Jobs.

He added, “As the battle to staff skilled talent in manufacturing continues to grow, it is more important than ever to have access to the tools and expertise that can help companies attract and maintain a highly skilled workforce. “
