TSNN Welcomes Lori Tenny as Editorial Director

July 19, 2021

Trade Show News Network (TSNN) is pleased to announce the appointment of Lori Tenny as Editorial Director. She is an award-winning editor, writer and strategist who has worked in publishing for more than 25 years, 16 of which have been spent covering the meetings and events industry.

In her new role, Tenny will be overseeing TSNN, the No. 1 online news source for the trade show industry, and Corporate Event News, an online news publication for corporate event planners and professionals.

"TSNN and Corporate Event News are extremely fortunate to have Lori joining on as editorial director over both brands," said TSNN President Rachel Wimberly. "Lori has a very experienced background as a journalist/editor in the events industry, and we look forward to working with her to bring all the news that matters to our audiences."

Tenny previously worked for industry content provider Meetings Today, where she was an integral part of the company’s success. As Strategic Content Director, she drove strategy for features, custom publishing and special digital projects and conceived industry-leading content initiatives.

As Managing and Destinations Content Director at the publication, she led strategy for domestic and international destination coverage, custom publishing projects, and special supplements, several of which won or were nominated for excellence in publishing awards.

Tenny has also held editorial roles at travel trade publications Travel Weekly and TravelAge West.

“I’m honored to be a part of the TSNN and CEN team,” Tenny said. “They have always set the bar for exceptional industry content, and I’m excited to help continue elevating the brand and serving trade show and event professionals with important, helpful and innovative coverage.”

Tenny is most passionate about the connection, experiences and inspiration inherent in trade shows, meetings and events.

“It’s so rewarding to cover an industry that’s all about bringing people together to create powerful experiences—the kind that allow them to discover something new, share ideas, cultivate relationships, inspire lasting change and grow personally and professionally,” she added.

Born and raised in Chicagoland, Tenny currently lives in San Francisco, where she loves delving into the eclectic neighborhoods and nearby towns, road-tripping along the coast, kayaking on the bay and hiking the Bay Area’s gorgeous peaks.
