February 21, 2017

London-listed international exhibition organiser, Tarsus Group, has announced plans to expand its Labelexpo Global Series with the launch of Labelexpo Southeast Asia.

Labelexpo Southeast Asia will be held May 10-12, 2018, at BITEC in Bangkok, Thailand.

The new event will showcase the latest label and packaging solutions, new innovations and will feature some 200 exhibitors.

According to Tarsus, Asian delegations are expected from Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore as well as Japan, South Korea, Australia and Taiwan.

Lisa Milburn, managing director of the Labelexpo Global Series, said, “We carefully select the geographies our events serve and after months of focused industry research, we are delighted to announce this new addition to the Labelexpo portfolio.

She added, "Label consumption is pitched at around 6-7% growth, so the Southeast Asian market offers excellent opportunities for sustainable commercial growth. The region has a collective population of around 640 million and comprises 10 very diverse and dynamic economies which are each in different stages of transition.”

Tarsus also announced plans to rebrand “Labelexpo Asia” in Shanghai to “Labelexpo China” reflecting the show’s visitor demographics and to acknowledge that Tarsus has other editions of this event in the region.
