February 10, 2022

As the trade show and events industry continues its steady pace along the road to recovery, event-related organizations far and wide are forming new strategic partnerships and extending existing contracts at a rapid pace—take a look!

Cadmium

Cadmium, a leading provider of event and learning technology specializing in continuing educational, professional development and content management solutions, has partnered with systems integration and event staging solutions provider IMS Technology Services to simplify the vendor selection process for event planners. The partnership unites event management technology, event production and content management to strengthen the digital product and service offerings of both organizations.

Clients of IMS Technology Services can utilize Cadmium’s suite of event technology, including online registration, a mobile app, digital posters and learning management systems, while Cadmium will partner customers who will benefit from systems integration and event staging solutions with IMS Technology Services.

Sodexo Live!

Leading venue hospitality partner Sodexo Live! has renewed a multi-year partnership with the Raleigh Convention & Performing Arts Complex, for which Sodexo Live! provides catering services to the Raleigh Convention Center, Red Hat Amphitheater, Coastal Credit Union Music Park and Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts.

Through the extension of the current agreement, Sodexo Live! will provide significant capital contributions for enhanced guest services, including new POS/CC systems, action stations, presentation items and equipment upgrades. Under the local leadership of RCC General Manager Jamie Jenkins, the Sodexo Live! culinary team is also a vital part of the convention center’s award-winning sustainability efforts.

International Exhibitor Representation Program

Late last year, the International Exhibitor Representation Program (IERP), providers of professional staffing for exhibitors unable to travel to show sites, announced new trade show clients and signings for 2022. These major events include CES 2022; World of Concrete; TISE–The International Surface Event; NAB–National Association of Broadcasters; International Food & Drink Event and Montgomery Group Exhibitions; NAMM; and NY NOW.

In 2021, IERP’s clients included The International Roofing Exhibition; Speciality & Fine Foods Fair (UK); and International Pool, Spa, Patio & Deck Expo. Domestic clients whose companies have travel bans in place or are short staffed have also taken advantage of the program.

Stetson Convention Services

Pittsburgh-based Stetson Convention Services, a leading full-service general contractor and decorator providing nationwide services for the convention, trade show, exposition and events industries, has once again been selected by B2B event producer Connect to help produce its 2022 Connect Spring Marketplace, set for May 22-24 at the Puerto Rico Convention Center, several hotel properties and Distrito T-Mobile in Puerto Rico. The agreement continues Stetson and Connect’s seven-year partnership.

Victory Productions

In mid-January, experiential and growth marketing agency Victory Productions joined as a division of Glenmore Industries to form a new multi-channel marketing agency, epIQ Creative Group. The launch transforms Victory into a full-scale demand generation marketing agency for associations, non-profits, events and brands.

According to epIQ officials, this new partnership will allow Victory to not only service its current clients in a deeper and richer capacity but also furthers its expansion into new technology and service offerings. Case in point: Its new on-site activation for live events, Show Better Zone, a full custom-graphic, premium-fabric turnkey booth system designed to modernize and energize the trade showfloor.

CloserStill Media

U.K.-based CloserStill Media, producer of market-leading B2B events, exhibitions and conferences, has partnered with U.S.-based Influence Group, producers of intimate buyer and community-led events for retail, senior living, food service, hospitality, workplace, healthcare and education business leaders.

According to CloserStill Media officials, partnering with the Influence Group team will bring a unique set of skills and event formats to CloserStill Media while allowing it access to new market sectors in North America. Meanwhile, Influence Group will retain its existing operating structure, with Michael Owens and Michael McCarthy leading the business as managing partners working alongside CloserStill Media’s U.S. leadership.

CompuSystems

Full-service registration provider CompuSystems Inc. will supply all registration, data analytics and lead capture services for CloserStill Media’s four U.S. veterinary industry conferences in 2022: Austin Vet, Chicago Vet, Wild West Vet and New York Vet.

The registration company also recently signed renewal deals with Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) and North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM), for which it will continue providing registration, data analytics and lead retrieval services for its trade shows and events.
