Messe Dsseldorf to Launch ProWine China in 2013
Messe Düsseldorf Shanghai, subsidiary of Germany-based exhibition organiser Messe Düsseldorf and China International Exhibitions, a member of the Allworld Exhibitions Group, will collaborate to launch ProWine China in Shanghai next year.
ProWine China is a geo-clone expansion of the annually-held wine and spirit trade fair, ProWein, in Düsseldorf. The inaugural ProWine China will run Nov. 13-15 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). ProWine China will be collocated with the food and beverage trade show FHC China. The collaborating organisers have already held a successful ProWine Tasting Zone at FHC China this year which took place recently Nov. 14-16.
Hans Werner Reinhard, deputy managing director of Messe Düsseldorf and chairman of Messe Düsseldorf Shanghai, said, “Messe Düsseldorf Shanghai and China International Exhibitions are joining forces to implement the successful concept of Düsseldorf ProWein under the brand name ProWine China and thereby establish the leading wine fair in China. The Chinese consumer market is based on domestic production but is increasingly opening up to the variety of international wines. Retailers in China need an event to help them serve this parallel demand – and ProWine China does just this.”
