HKTDC Extends Cooperation with Veronafiere at Wine Fair
The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) signed a cooperation agreement with Veronafiere S.p.A. to bring wineries from Italy to Hong Kong to exhibit at the Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair.
Veronafiere, through its Vinitaly brand, has been in partnership with the HKTDC since 2009, primarily promoting Italian companies through its Vinitaly Pavilion at the Wine & Spirits Fair.
At the 2018 edition, the Vinitaly Pavilion will launch a new dedicated olive oil section that features a tasting bar as well as workshops.
According to the HKTDC, the 2017 edition of the Wine & Spirits Fair featured 1,070 exhibitors worldwide, of which 186 were from Italian wineries showcasing their wines and spirits.
HKTDC Deputy Executive Director Benjamin Chau, commented on the cooperation, “This year marks the tenth anniversary that the HKTDC and Veronafiere have joined forces to spotlight the acclaimed Vinitaly Pavilion at our Wine & Spirits Fair. It is therefore an exciting occasion that the HKTDC and Veronafiere, as the organisers of two prominent wine fairs across the continents, renew the cooperation agreement today, which will strengthen our strategic alliance and set out the scope for ongoing collaboration with Italian wine producers.”
