GlobalSign.in Partners with Interprefy to Provide Real-Time Interpreting for Digital Events

August 13, 2020

Thanks to a new partnership with Interprefy, the remote simultaneous interpretation technology and services platform based in Zurich, Singapore-based events technology provider GlobalSign.in will help companies to widen their global audiences for digital events.

This collaboration will allow event organizers planning events, webinars, conferences and meetings on GlobalSign.in's new GEVME Live digital events platform to host those gatherings in multiple languages using the Interprefy platform.

“When launching GEVME Live, we did not simply want to bring physical events into the digital space, but also to unleash the full potential of what digital events can offer,” said Veemal Gungadin, CEO of GlobalSign.in.

Gungadin noted that because digital events surpass geographical boundaries, people are able to attend wherever they are in the world. “With this new partnership with Interprefy, participation in digital events is also no longer fettered by language, enabling event owners and organizers to easily host truly borderless events,” said Gungadin.

Interprefy’s cloud-based platform allows interpreters to deliver their services remotely, taking away the need for planners to deal with travel schedules or accommodations. Online conferencing participants on GEVME Live can then listen to presentations in the language of their choice, translated in real-time. All attendees need is a stable internet connection and the device of their choice — be it a smartphone, laptop or desktop computer.

Because its interpreters can work from anywhere in the world, Interprefy can source multilingual, conference-level interpreters for any language combination or expertise, thus improving the quality of interpreting at events.

Interprefy's partnership with GlobalSign.in follows previous partnerships the company has made with Zoom, Cisco, Webex, Microsoft Teams and ON24, where their interpretation platform was used for a worldwide digital conference that GlaxoSmithKline held June 29-30 for 5,000 healthcare and pharmaceutical experts around the world.

“As events move online, Interprefy has experienced unprecedented demand for better engagement, diversity and personalization — and the ability to deliver events in multiple languages is an important element to achieving these goals,” said Richard Roocroft, director of global sales at Interprefy.

Due to the increase in global organizations holding their events digitally, Interprefy AG recently reported a seven-fold increase in the use of the Interprefy platform from the first to the second quarter of 2020.
