Coex to Launch Stylish Life Show in China 2016

January 25, 2016

Coex, the biggest exhibition organizer in Korea, will be expanding its exhibition organizing business in 2016, with the opening of the Stylish Life Show in Chengdu, China.

Scheduled Nov. 5-9 at the New Century Exhibition and Convention Centre, Stylish Life will be co-organized with the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), Korea Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises and the Sichuan Bureau of Expo Affairs.

Stylish Life marks Coex’s fourth international expansion, adding to its three shows in Vietnam: the Vietnam Baby Fair, The Vietnam Retail and Franchise Show and the Vietnam International Coffee and Dessert Show.

Chengdu was chosen for its potential as a catalyst for growth in Western China’s consumer market. “We believe that Chengdu will become a gateway and a key city for driving economic growth in China,” said Bo Kyung Byun, CEO and president of Coex.

As the capital of Sichuan province, Chengdu has more affluence and purchasing power than any other city in the province.

With the rise in consumption of new products and cultural exports and its unique position as a transport hub between Central Asia and South East Asia, Chengdu is a prime location for Stylish Life.

Co-located with the Western China International Fair (WCIF) at the Chengdu Century City New International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Stylish Life is six shows in one.

Building on its homegrown expertise, the exhibition will cover living design, wedding and beauty, fashion retail, baby and kids, coffee and bakery, and retail and franchise industries.

By co-locating the show with the WCIF, Stylish Life China will be able to attract visitors and buyers from Western China even though the show is to launch for the first time.

In addition to co-locating with WCIF, Coex is working with major online retailers, Alibaba and Sunning, to provide a unique consulting opportunity for businesses entering online shopping malls.

The show will also bring domestic and foreign business professionals and buyers to have them participate in a one-to-one business matching program arranged by the organizer to help facilitate contract negotiations.

By adding business features, the show will be recognized as the most professional trade show in town and differentiate itself from the WCIF.
