Texcare Asia to Merge with China Laundry Expo

July 24, 2018

The organisers of Texcare Asia and the China Laundry Expo signed a deal on 18th July 2018 agreeing to merge the two fairs into a single show covering the textile care and laundry chain industries in Asia.

The event will be co-organised by Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Company, Unifair Exhibition Service Company, the China Laundry Association, and the China Light Machinery Association. The first edition of the merged fair will be held in September 2019 at Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). It is expected to occupy 30,000 m2 of floor space featuring some 300 exhibitors and 25,000 industry visitors.

China Laundry Expo, founded in 2000, is held annually rotating between Beijing and Shanghai. Products showcased at the expo include laundry equipment, accessories, chemicals, consumables, leather care products, energy-saving and environmental protection equipment.

Texcare Asia was launched in Singapore in 1998 and in Hong Kong in 2002. The fair moved to Beijing in 2005 and was finally re-located to Shanghai in 2013. The fair features textile rental services, training services for institutions, and machinery for the cleaning of carpets, floor coverings, upholstery and buildings.

Wolfgang Marzin, President and CEO of Messe Frankfurt Group, stated, “The merger is fantastic news for the textile care industry in Asia as a whole and also for the Messe Frankfurt Group. By integrating Texcare Asia’s extensive resources with those of the China Laundry Expo, we will provide a larger and more complete platform for the industry to converge upon. The new show will provide coverage across the entire supply chain, including dry cleaning, dyeing, detergent and disinfecting chemicals, leather care, textile rental, digital solutions and much more.”
