TaiSPO Hits Record Number of Exhibitors

The 38th edition of the Taipei International Sporting Goods Show (TaiSPO) was held April 27-30 at Taipei’s Nangang Exhibition Hall and featured a record 362 exhibitors. The event, which is organised by TAITRA, also hit a new high in terms of international exhibitors. Nearly 70 overseas exhibitors participated in TaiSPO, including sporting equipment firms from Germany, the U.K., South Korea and Hong Kong. International exhibitors were up an impressive 83 percent, compared with the 2010 edition.

The largest categories were fitness equipment (150 exhibitors) and sportswear and accessories (30 exhibitors). Other categories included massage equipment, camping gear, gymnastics facilities, diving and water sports equipment and leisure activity equipment. Walter Yeh, deputy secretary of TAITRA also announced that the 2012 TaiSPO will feature a collocated “Diving & Water Sports Products Exhibition” and “The Taipei International Sports Apparel and Accessories Exhibition.”
