NAB Show Launches Year-Round Digital Platform for Global Community

September 24, 2020

The NAB Show, the leading trade show and conference for media, entertainment and technology professionals held each spring in Las Vegas, is gearing up to launch NAB Amplify. This year-round digital platform is designed to serve, engage and grow the show’s global community. Launching in beta in November, the interactive online platform will work to support and extend the live show’s impact by providing ongoing, real-time opportunities for networking, discovery and education.

In addition to connecting users with relevant products, services and information to advance their businesses and careers, NAB Amplify will serve to fuel commerce beyond live NAB events. It will do this by creating a destination for media and entertainment professionals to connect, collaborate and engage 365 days a year.

According to NAB officials, the user-centric platform has been in development since 2019 and will help community members solve real-life problems by highlighting thought leadership, top trends and game-changing solutions.

“NAB Amplify is a key component in NAB’s larger innovation strategy aimed at super-serving our global audience,” said Gordon Smith, president of National Association of Broadcasters, which produces the NAB Show. “This evolution will serve to enhance our well-established live events while expanding the NAB Show brand into a year-round service and experience driven by meaningful connections and community engagement.”

The platform will also feature targeted networking forums, continually updated educational content and an online marketplace showcasing diverse media and technology companies, from global brands to emerging start-ups.

Additionally, NAB Amplify will be able to facilitate secure connections among vendors and customers, as well as those looking to network and share ideas with other professionals via community-led conversations.

Cristina Clapp will serve as NAB Amplify’s content director, leading efforts to deliver relevant content and fresh perspectives reflecting the interests and needs of the NAB Amplify community. With more than 25 years of experience working in media and entertainment, Clapp previously worked as content director for Creative Planet Network.

NAB Show in Las Vegas was originally planned for April 10-14, 2021 but has been postponed to Oct. 9-13, 2021, at Las Vegas Convention Center. Learn more here.
