Mack Brooks to Launch Fastener Fair in Thailand
Mack Brooks Exhibitions has announced plans to launch a new Thailand edition of its Fastener Fair at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC) Sept. 6-8, 2012. This latest addition follows the launch of Fastener Fair Mumbai and Fastener Fair São Paolo earlier in the year as part of Mack Brooks’ expansion into growth markets in Asia and South America. A total of 90 exhibitors, of which 45 were from overseas, attended the Mumbai event this April.
Mack Brooks officials said Thailand posted its highest GDP growth rate in 2010 over a fifteen-year period, while forecasts for 2011 and 2012 sees continued growth of 4 percent to 5 percent per annum. The automotive industry, machine tool industry, petrochemical industry, construction industry, medical technology sector, electronics and communications and energy sector were quoted as the country’s growth markets. Mack Brooks argues that these industries provide a key base for the expansion of the fastener and fixing industry, supported by the trade fair.
Stephen Brooks, chairman of Mack Brooks Exhibitions, said, “A professional trade exhibition in an important industry sector such as fastener and fixing technology is vital in the face of the country’s economic growth potential and the large number of investment projects.”
