February 7, 2018

U.K.-based Tarsus Group has launched an exclusive buyer-seller platform, Tarsus Direct, which will include an in-person summit series, white papers and thought leadership within specific communities.

The first event in Tarsus Direct’s Industry Specific Direct Connections Summit Series will focus on healthcare security with the debut of the Healthcare Security Summit Oct. 24-25 in Boston, Mass.

"Our market research indicated a strong need for original research and education in healthcare security," said David Beck, Group Publisher at Tarsus Direct, and former publisher of the groundbreaking ASIS report, "The United States Security Industry: Size and Scope, Insights, Trends and Data'. At our Summit, we will bring together thought leaders, security directors and innovators of security technology, systems and practices to meet and discuss our new benchmarking report. "

The Tarsus Direct team will be lead by RD Whitney, Tarsus Direct’s CEO. Whitney previously worked for Diversified Business Communications, Greenhaven Partners and Kennedy Information and has developed business community assets in 19 different media channels.

“At Tarsus Direct our mission is to quicken the pace of industry innovation and adoption through research, benchmarking, best practices and peer-to-peer meetings.” Whitney said.

He added, “When professional communities come together in a more focused and specific way, they can introduce innovation faster and solve major pain points and challenges better.”

Other Tarsus Direct team members include CMO Alyson Kaye, who has 20 years of experience in multiple roles solving marketing challenges in an always on and evolving environment; Patrice Hampson, Director of Business Development, who for more than 10 years has brought together buyers and sellers via conference sponsorship and exhibitor sales, lead generation programs and integrated media; and David Beck, Group Publisher and Research Director, who has started and developed numerous conferences and trade shows in a variety of professional and industry sectors.

Beside the ISCD Summit Series, which will be launching new verticals in the near future and include a hosted program for buyers, Tarsus Direct also will unveil the “2018 Key Benchmarks in Healthcare Security” whitepaper to complement its first summit focus.

In addition, even more thought leadership will be available on Tarsus Direct with blogs by industry leadership such as “Sign of the Times: Hacked Hospital Held Ransom for Bitcoins” and “New England Medical Center Beefs Up Security”.
