Children-Baby-Maternity Expo Set New Record in 2011

The 11th edition of the Shanghai International Children-Baby-Maternity Industry Expo (CBME), organised by UBM China (Hangzhou), closed with record results at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). The three-day exhibition covered some 80,500 square meters of exhibition space according to its organiser, while a record-breaking trade visitor crowd of 88,062 from 78 countries and regions were present. The show was held July 20-22.

UBM reported a total of 3,700 booths were sold to accommodate 1,043 exhibitors, which consisted of 1,564 brands. Around 470 brands were from overseas, and all together, products exhibited included those for new-born babies, children up to 16 years of age and expectant mothers including baby and maternity care products. 

The next edition of CBME will take place July 18-20 in Shanghai with an expected exhibitor crowd of 1,200 covering an estimated 103,500 square meters of exhibition space.

The projects will debut in 2023 and beyond. JW Marriott This new, 15-story, 283-room hotel will open in the heart of the city’s downtown Arts District this year. The property features a 25,000-square-foot grand ballroom, as well as a spa, restaurant, lobby bar, fitness center, and a rooftop pool deck and bar. InterContinental Dallas  Located in Cityplace Tower in Uptown, InterContinental Dallas will feature sweeping panoramic views of the Dallas skyline. Guests will enjoy spacious, high-end rooms and amenities, including more than 21,000 square feet of event space.   Hotel Swexan Hotel Swexan, a new, 22-story luxury property, is rising in Uptown’s Harwood District and will make its mark on the Dallas skyline. Opening this year, it is a sculptural building with cantilevered upper floors, as well as a 75-foot rooftop infinity-edge swimming pool and a hidden underground lounge.
