Centerplate, GES, eventPower and More Land New Deals

The holiday season may be fast-approaching, but that hasn’t slowed down a bevy of trade show-related companies and suppliers from forging new business partnerships. 

Centerplate Granted F&B Contract for World Market Center Las Vegas 

Event venue hospitality partner Centerplate has been awarded a long-term contract with the World Market Center Las Vegas to provide hospitality and food service at the newly enhanced furniture, gift and home décor venue. The contract will grant Centerplate management of the venue’s catering, food and beverage and concessions services.

Centerplate, which also works with the Las Vegas Convention Center, will provide experienced talent that leverages recognized culinary, hospitality, facility design and development best practices to deliver highly distinctive and innovative menu offerings at the venue, according to Centerplate officials.

GES Appointed Official Services Provider for Money20/20 U.S.A. 

Last month, B2B global information company Ascential tapped GES to produce the U.S. edition of Money20/20, known as the largest event covering payments and financial services innovation for connected commerce. The most recent Money20/20 U.S.A. took place Oct. 27-30 at The Venetian in Las Vegas.

Since 2016, GES EMEA has produced Money20/20 Europe, providing all core services along with full audio-visual delivery of the event’s main and breakout conference areas. 

“The key to delivering a great event is partnership and collaboration, which GES and Ascential have embraced, and the result can be seen at the show,” said Leonie González, Money20/20 senior vice president of event operations. “We are delighted to partner with GES to produce Money20/20 Europe and Money20/20 U.S.A.”

EventPower Scoops Up New Clients

Event management service and software provider eventPower has acquired four new clients: National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds; Pope and Young Club; California Association of Teachers of English, and American College of Preventive Medicine.  

For California Association of Teachers of English, eventPower will be handling the registration process and exhibit/sponsor sales at CATE, the organization’s 62nd annual statewide convention, taking place Feb. 21-23, 2020 in Los Angeles.

Pope and Young Club has tapped eventPower to organize and handle the registration process of its annual convention, set for March 26-28, 2020 in Chantilly, Virginia.

The company will assist National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds with managing its speakers and creating conference agenda for the annual Outdoor Hospitality Conference & Expo, set for Nov. 4-7, 2020 in Knoxville, Tennessee. 

Lastly, American College of Preventive Medicine will be using eventPower for registration, on-demand badge printing, website creation and speaker management at Prevention2020, its annual conference to be held May 13-15, 2020 in Denver.

NTP Events Snags New International Meeting Series, Extends Contract 

Trade show and event producer NTP Events has been contracted by the Association for Vision Research and Ophthalmology to facilitate sales and oversee exhibitor services for the inaugural ARVO International. This new regional meeting series featuring the latest research and trends in ophthalmology and vision science will kick off Oct. 15-18, 2020 in Honolulu, Hawaii. 

NTP also extended a three-year contract to manage booth sales, exhibitor marketing and exhibit operations for the ARVO Annual Meeting, a leading education and networking forum for academicians, clinicians, researchers, students and trainees in the fields of vision research and eye science. The 2020 edition will be held May 3-7, 2020 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore. 

Over the past six years, NTP has assisted ARVO in growing exhibit sales by over 50 percent and sponsorship sales 122 percent, according to company officials.

“We’re excited to continue this long-term partnership with ARVO,” said Christopher Harar, president of NTP Events. “We have seen tremendous success since they selected us as a partner in 2014. We look forward to building on our momentum with the ARVO Annual Meeting and now ARVO International.”  

Stockholmsmässan Signs Deal with Explori

Stockholmsmässan, the Nordic region’s leading exhibition center and organizer, has recently signed a deal with event research firm Explori to benchmark and monitor customer experience using event analytics.  

“Understanding customer data in a fast, reliable and structured way is key to staying ahead in this industry,” explained Christina Kilstrom, marketing and communications director at Stockholmsmässan. “We are happy to start working with Explori given their digital, intuitive approach and vast knowledge in the events industry.”

The new deal comes at a time when Explori is not only expanding its product offering to provide venues with research and benchmarking, but also develop a Nordic-specific set of customer experience benchmarks to further contextualize performance in Scandinavia, according to company officials. 

“We’re delighted to be working with Stockholmsmässan on a long-term basis,” said Richard Kensett, commercial director for Explori. “They run some of the biggest and best events in the Nordic region and it’s great to welcome them to the Explori benchmarking community.”

Convention Data Services Forms and Extends Partnerships

Convention Data Services has signed two new deals. The company was selected by Messe Frankfurt to provide full registration services, lead management and integrations for Techtextil North America and Texprocess Americas for three years, through 2022.

“We are looking forward to working with CDS for Techtextil North America and Texprocess Americas 2020,” said Kristy Meade, show director with Messe Frankfurt Inc. “Through CDS’s robust platform offerings, we hope to gain insights into how to optimize and enhance the overall visitor experience and streamline exhibitor participation at all of our events.”

Meanwhile, the Water Quality Association extended its partnership with CDS for three years through 2022. CDS will provide registration, integrations, lead management and contact center for the organization’s WQA Convention & Exposition. 

“WQA and CDS have a long-standing successful relationship and we are very proud of that,” said David Lawton, CDS chief sales officer. “One-on-one personal communication and working together as a team are some of the reasons for our continued success in enhancing the WQA Convention & Exposition experience for attendees.”
