4,300+ Exhibitors at HKTDC Jewellery Event
The 3rd Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show, organized by Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), was held March 1-5 at the AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE).
The 33rd Hong Kong International Jewellery Show also was held March 3-7 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).
The two events featured more than 4,380 exhibitors from 54 countries and regions.
The Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show showcased jewellery raw materials including quality diamonds, previous gems, semi-precious stones and pearls.
A new Rough Stones & Mineral zone also was set-up to showcase uncut stones and gems. More than 1,880 exhibitors from 42 countries and regions participated at the event this year.
The Jewellery Show featured more than 2,500 exhibitors. There was a new zone, Wedding Bijoux, showcasing wedding rings and bridal jewellery, and T-GOLD + METS, featuring international professional jewellery and watch making machinery, equipment, technology and supplies.
“This is the third year that we are using the ‘two shows, two venues’ format, an arrangement that has been well received by exhibitors and buyers alike,” said HKTDC Deputy Executive Director Benjamin Chau before the show.
He added, “By showcasing raw materials and finished pieces separately, we can accommodate more exhibitors with a more spacious exhibition environment and provide a greater selection of products to buyers with enhanced product specialisation.”
