PMMI Picks James Carville, Dennis Miller for Joint Speaking Engagement at PACK EXPO 2012
The Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute is giving attendees to PACK EXPO International 2012, Oct. 28-31 at Chicago’s McCormick Place, a two-for-one lecture special with James Carville and Dennis Miller taking part in a joint session.
“We’ll be barely a week away from the 2012 Presidential election,” said PMMI president & CEO Charles D. Yuska.
He added, “No matter which way you vote, this pair of pundits will offer unique perspectives on the elections and the issues in the national spotlight.”
Dennis Miller is one of America’s premiere comedy talents, and currently can be seen and heard on “The O’Reilly Factor” and his own syndicated radio program, “The Dennis Miller Show.”
In recent years, Miller has raised his profile as a political commentator with “Dennis Miller,” a talk show on CNBC.
In the late 1980s, his talents were spotlighted in the popular “Weekend Update” segments on Saturday Night Live, and he received five Emmy Awards for his HBO series “Dennis Miller Live.”
James Carville, “The Ragin’ Cajun” is perhaps most widely known for bombastic, enthusiastic, shoot-from-the-hip, no-holds-barred political commentary delivered with quick wit and a Southern drawl. His resume includes advisor to President Bill Clinton during his administration.
Carville is a frequent political commentator and contributor on CNN and a Professor of Practice at Tulane University in New Orleans, where he lives with his wife, Mary Matalin, former advisor to both former Presidents George W. and George H.W. Bush, and their children.
Miller and Carville will present their views of the 2012 elections and take questions from the audiences.
“It’s an opportunity for anyone looking for perspective on - and some good laughs over - the politics of 2012,” Yuska said.
The PACK EXPO Lecture Series launched with General Colin Powell speaking at PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2011.
“The purpose of the PACK EXPO Lecture Series is to provide a thought-provoking and entertaining event for exhibitors and attendees,” Yuska said. “And this year’s event will certainly do just that.”
