This year was a very good one for the MICE industry in Thailand, with targeted visitor numbers for 2012 of 750,000 being exceeded by 19 percent to 895,224 visitors. After a lot of speculation in which several other cities were floated as possible new locales for Nielsen Expositions’ Outdoor Retailer, the show has decided to stay put in its long-time home of Salt Lake City through 2016. The Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show broke attendance records once again this year at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas. The SHOT Show, owned and sponsored by the National Shooting Sports Foundation, attracted a record overall attendance of 62,371, including a new high for buyers and more than 2,000 media representatives.
