The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions’ Asian Attractions Expo 2013 will head back to Singapore June 4-7 at the Marina Bay Sands.
After holding the show in Singapore in 2011, Malaysia the year before and it’s on tap in Hong Kong this year, exhibition organizers decided to take the show back to Singapore next year.

The Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre recently scored four awards in the national Meetings and Events Australia (MEA) Awards for a second consecutive year.
The Centre’s wins were across a broad range of categories including in-house AV services, banquet and catering, as well as Corporate Social Responsibility and Education.

Billed as “The World’s Biggest Trade Fair for Lighting and Building Services Technology” Messe Frankfurt’s biannual Light+Building drew a whopping 196,000 attendees in late April to the Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre.
Attendance at the 2012 event was up 7 percent, compared with the 2010 show, which drew 183,111 attendees.
The increase in attendees came nearly as much from abroad as they did from inside German, with 44 percent coming from overseas, according to Messe Frankfurt show officials.

The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) has signed a memorandum of understanding with a major Chinese trade association that will bring a large number of additional manufacturers and product options to the annual NAHB International Builders’ Show January 2013 in Las Vegas, according to NAHB officials.

Whether it’s the audiovisual, packaging, restaurant or amusement park industries, all seem to be experiencing boon times with either their exhibit floors already sold out in advance of their upcoming shows or on tap to break all-time records.

First-time events under t he UBM banner – Game Developers Conference and EcoBuild – were so successful they, and other events in the portfolio, helped boost UBM Q1 revenue 11 per cent to £264.2 million, compared with the same period last year.
The event portfolio had particularly strong results, an increase of 46 percent to £123.1 million ($200 million) compared with the same period in 2011, while adjusted operating profit rose 53 percent to £42.4 million ($69 million).
Overall operating profit also rose 26 percent to £56.1 million ($91 million).

Tarsus Group made further inroads to achieve its goal of having 50 percent of its annual revenue derived from emerging markets by 2013 with the purchase of a 50-percent stake in the China International Automotive Aftermarket Industry and Tuning (Guangzhou) Trade Fair (“GZ Auto”) and other associated business assets.
