New Converters Expo Set to Launch in Charlotte, NC

November 28, 2017

In response to industry demand, Converters Expo will be launching a sister trade show in Charlotte, NC.

Set to debut Feb. 6 at the Charlotte Convention Center, Converters Expo South will bring together converters and packagers of paper, film and nonwovens with companies looking for the latest in efficiency, techniques, advances, products and equipment.

The inaugural event is expected to attract approximately 300 attendees and 59 exhibiting companies spanning just under 20,000 square feet of expo space, according to show officials.

“The Carolina-Georgia area is the second largest ‘Converting Corridor’ in the nation for this type of manufacturing,” explained John Kalkowski, packaging market and media leader for the Food, Beverage and Packaging Group of BNP Media, which owns the show.

He continued, “Products that come out of these specialized processes range from baby wipes to dental bibs, labels, pouches and numerous other items used in our daily lives. By adding this new event for the Southeast marketplace, we will expand our audience and bring more opportunities to the industry.”

Converters Expo South sponsors include Pinnacle Converting Equipment, AccuWeb, BST North America and Valley Grinding & Manufacturing, companies that will join myriad other vendors offering converting services to complete products using paper, film and nonwovens through rewinding and sheeting; folding and finishing; coating, laminating and adhesives; flexographic printing and inks; packaging, warehousing, shipping and logistics; equipment and associated engineering, as well as testing and product development.

Several hundred companies are expected attend the show’s launch, including contract manufacturers to help in all aspects of production; printing, packaging and testing services; expansion ideas and new equipment as well as product developers looking for converters and manufacturers to create products and learn about new technologies.

Converters Expo South is produced by the Packaging Strategies Group, which has delivered packaging industry news, information and analysis to audiences across multiple platforms since 1983.

Founded in 1997, Converters Expo draws in professionals from across the converting industry to Wisconsin to share the latest technology, products and ideas. Its next event will take place April 17-18 at the Lambeau Field Atrium in Green Bay, WI.
