Messe Frankfurt Websites Don a New Look and Improved Functionality

August 25, 2017

Messe Frankfurt’s websites are undergoing a widespread makeover designed to provide a fresh new look and improved functionality for a better user experience.

The show organizers’ internet portal, messefrankfurt.com, already has undergone its transformation.

Relaunched on Aug. 22, the revamped site sports large visual elements, a user-friendly approach and utilizes responsive web design to ensure page optimization for all devices.

“The messefrankfurt.com portal is the digital gateway for creating business opportunities for our customers,” said Wolfgang Marzin, president and CEO of Messe Frankfurt.

He continued, “Now, with a completely revamped concept and a new design, we have created a web presence that helps us in our role as an information and service provider to reliably guide our partners and customers where they want to go – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.”

All of Messe Frankfurt’s websites for its subsidiaries, events and services will be redesigned and relaunched in the months to come, with the roll-out to be completed by the end of 2018.

Each site has been designed according to the ‘long-page’ principle, which helps users find their way as they explore content and allows them to quickly access more detailed information on everything Messe Frankfurt has to offer.

The “fast-track concept,” which makes it possible for people to quickly contact the event organizer and purchase tickets, for example, allows the user to reach their destination in just two clicks.

In addition, prominent call-to-action elements take customers directly to key products without any detours.

The first of the new websites to go live were the corporate pages and the website for Heimtextil, which is the first event of the year on the Frankfurt trade fair calendar.

“A positive user experience is the key success factor for digital products, and the new internet portal offers the ideal supplement to the topical and user-oriented online communications for our textile fairs,” explained Detlef Braun, member of the executive board of Messe Frankfurt GmbH.

He added, “Heimtextil’s new website is an excellent stage for digitally showcasing the variety of themes we cover at the trade fair.”
