Meetingselect Venue Booking Tool Joins Event Tech Tribe Lineup

January 23, 2018

The Event Tech Tribe has once again expanded its event industry offerings, this time with venue booking software Meetingselect. This is the seventh tech supplier to join the collaborative ecosystem The Tribe comprises.

Established in 2007, Meetingselect is the world's largest independent meetings distribution system and online venue booking tool. The company’s software will integrate with all existing Tribe products.

Based in The Netherlands, Meetingselect expands The Tribe’s global footprint within Europe.

“It’s important to us that we serve planners and marketers wherever they are in the world,” said Mike Piddock, leader of Glisser, another Tribe member company with offices in the U.S. and the U.K.

He added, “Adding another European-based Tribe partner strengthens our reach and connection to the global industry.”

Now working with over 500 customers, The Event Tech Tribe carefully curates applications to join the Tribe “family” to ensure the optimum experience for planners.

“Building everything and trying to be all things to all people is not the future of software in general,” explained founding Tribe leader, Leonora Valvo of Swoogo.

She continued, “We’ve always felt that planners shouldn’t have to compromise on tech just to get systems that work well together – or navigate complex platforms to create integrations themselves. Having a world-class venue booking tool like Meetingselect in our tech stack further rounds out the offer for planners wanting options outside of the old school all-in-one tools.”

The Meetingselect venue booking software has received numerous awards but was also selected for Tribe membership based on company culture, which personifies a best-in-craft philosophy. While the organization is committed to creating the newest technology within its market niche, its leadership team also is focused on building deep relationships and direct connections with venue partners.

“Our long history in the hospitality industry means we understand planner and marketer requirements innately and love to help them solve what is typically their first challenge: sourcing the best venue,” explained Judith Huisman, co-founder of Meetingselect.

Meetingselect has been named to Deloitte’s Fast 50 list for four years in a row and is the highest ranked organization featuring female leadership (Huisman shares the honor with co-founder Anouk Roohé.) Huisman was also nominated as Ernst & Young Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year 2017.
