Meeting Professionals International, International Association of Exhibitions and Events Sign Partnership Agreement

December 10, 2015

Meeting Professionals International and the International Association of Exhibitions and Event have decided to form a business partnership to benefit their respective members.

The agreement aims to leverage the two associations' complementary business synergies and increase brand awareness to member audiences through MPI's The Meeting Professional® magazine.

"The partnership with IAEE is an opportunity for our associations to address the growing need for collaboration between the meeting, tradeshow and event principles," said Paul Van Deventer, president and CEO of MPI.

He added, "Our memberships rely heavily on each other to be successful and we are honored to be able to offer The Meeting Professional as a channel to help bring our business communities together."

The Meeting Professional (TMP) is MPI's member-focused magazine delivering editorial content on meeting industry trends, opportunities and issues. The magazine, distributed to MPI members each month, has won more than 50 awards for editorial and design.

Starting in January 2016, MPI will begin to distribute TMP to IAEE members as a full-digital, mobile-friendly edition.

"We are excited to be partnering with MPI and are confident our membership will find The Meeting Professional very informative and engaging," said IAEE president and CEO David DuBois, CMP, CAE, FASAE, CTA.

He added, "We are looking forward to bringing additional perspective to the magazine and building new relationships with MPI members in the process."

Throughout the year, the two associations will work closely together to develop content for TMP, relevant to the broader circulation and in conjunction with the magazine's business and editorial objectives.

"We are always looking for new ways to provide an opportunity for our members to expand their network in the industry. Our collaboration with IAEE will provide members in both associations with helpful insight and education delivered through the sharing of ideas and best practices throughout the pages of TMP," Van Deventer said. "This will help our meeting and event planners access new information and resources to make well-informed decisions and deliver quality programs."
