Event Tech Vendors Will Seek Attention from Industry Leaders at ECEF 2018

March 20, 2018

As the development of event technologies continues to accelerate, tech companies looking to transform the industry understand that capturing the hearts and minds of industry executives is key to their success. With its growing focus on technology, the Exhibition and Convention Executives Forum (ECEF) has become a popular venue for event technologies vendors vying for sponsorship opportunities.

Set for May 30 at the JW Marriott in Washington, D.C., the annual one-day conference for CEOs, presidents, executive directors, vice presidents and c-level executives at associations and independent organizers is designed to help exhibition and convention industry leaders explore new ways to increase revenue, keep their events relevant and explore profitable business connections.

“The new sponsors for 2018 represent the transformative technologies that are being discussed and debated in executive offices at associations and independent organizers every day,” explained Sam Lippman, president of Lippman Connects, which produces ECEF.

He added, “ECEF’s growing technology profile is also represented in the program, where executives exchange top-level insights.”

New ECEF tech sponsors include:

  • CNTV: a TV-style video provider that helps market events
  • Core-apps: a technology platform offering event management, mobile apps, beacons and kiosks
  • Gleanin: a social referral marketing platform for attendee acquisition
  • Nexus Data Group: new data system and service that synchronizes years of event data silos to create insights and actionable data
  • Showcare: provides event registration, housing, lead retrieval and session tracking solutions

New for the ECEF audience this year will be access to event content via second-screen technology provided by PSAV. Preloaded on iPads, this technology brings presentations to attendee fingertips; enhances participation and saves notes for post-ECEF reference.

PSAV is the Gold Sponsor of ECEF 2018 as well as the Presentation Technology Sponsor, while other medal-level sponsors include Las Vegas and mdg as Silver Sponsors, and Bronze Sponsors including a2z, Destination DC, Experient, Feathr, Freeman and Map Your Show.

The event will also feature new sessions on the successful application of cutting-edge event technology including ChatBots and data capture.

“Selecting and implementing the right event technology to increase attendee, exhibitors and sponsor ROI is the number one objective for our industry’s executives,” said Lippman.

He continued, “To help them achieve this objective, almost half of ECEF 2018 sessions will be case studies where event producers will share their lessons-learned from the stage and at the new TechDemo this technology will (also) be featured.”
